Importer Bond Query – Name & Address
If you have the importer’s EIN (IRS-issued, CBP-assigned, or SSN), you can submit a query to retrieve the importer’s name and address.
To submit a standard query:
1.Add the Importer Name and EIN (IRS-issued, CBP-assigned, or SSN) to the contact record.
2.Save the contact.
3.Queue “KI: Importer Bond Query (Name & Address) (Info)”.
Once the ABI message is processed, the importer’s company name and address will be returned in the ABI response.
Importer Bond Query – Auto Refresh
If you want to query the importer’s EIN and automatically update the contact record with the address details from the ABI response:
1.Select the option “KI: Importer Bond Query (Name & Address) (Refresh)”.
2.Submit the query.
After the query is completed, the contact record will be automatically updated with the importer’s name and address.
